An audience is a group of people who assemble to participate in a show, view a work of art, read literature, or listen to a speech. In any form of communication—whether writing a book, delivering a speech, or marketing a product—the audience represents the recipient of your message. Types of Audiences
Audiences can be categorized by their intent and familiarity with the content:
Primary Audience: The direct targets who are intended to see the message and take action.
Secondary Audience: People who are reasonably predicted to view the message alongside the primary group.
Voluntary Audience: Individuals who attend or read by choice because they are genuinely interested.
